Certificates in the Training Marketplace

How to create and assign certificates to Courses and Learning Paths in your Training Marketplace portal.

Step 1: Create the Certificate Template

The certificate template combines your custom background image with dynamic data fields (variables) for personalized information.

  1. Preparation: Design a high-resolution certificate image (PNG format is recommended, 3462 x 2401px is a good standard).

  2. From the main navigation, go to Certificates.

  3. Select + Create certificate.

  4. Enter a descriptive Template name (for internal reference).

  5. Configure the certificate File name using variables (e.g., Course Title and Completion Date) for easy download identification.

  6. Upload File to select your prepared certificate image.

  7. In the editor, drag and drop the required Certificate values (variables like Firstname Lastname, Course Title, and Completion Date) onto the image.

  8. Use the sample text to preview the layout and adjust the font, size, and alignment for each variable.

  9. Select Save to finalize the template.

Step 2: Assign the Template to a Course or Learning Path

Once the template is created, you must assign it to the content that will award it.

  1. Navigate to the relevant course or learning path and click into it.

  2. Select the Certs & Credits tab.

  3. In the Award Certificate (Pass or Completion) field, start typing the name of the template you created in Step 1 and select it.

  4. Optional Settings:

    • Set Certificate expires (e.g., 365 days after award).

    • Enable Auto re-enroll learner before the certificate expires, if applicable.

  5. Select Save to complete the setup.

Note: If you also set up a course completion email, the certificate will be automatically attached as a PDF when the learner successfully finishes the course.
