Deleting and Unassociating Attachments from a Record in DriverHub

Read about how to Delete and Unassociate an Attachment from a Record in the User Profile.

In some cases, you may need to remove or unassociate a file that has been attached to a record in a user’s profile. DriverHub gives you two ways to handle this:

  • Unassociating an Attachment moves the file to the Unassociated Files panel, allowing you to reuse it for another record type.

  • Deleting an Attachment permanently removes the file from the user’s account.

Deleting an Attachment

  1. Open the user’s profile and go to the Records Browser.

  2. Locate and select the record that contains the attachment you want to remove.

  3. Hover over the attachment you want to delete.

  4. Click the X icon next to the attachment.

  5. When prompted, select Delete Entirely to permanently remove the file from the account.

  6. Confirm the deletion to complete the process.

Unassociating an Attachment

  1. Open the user’s profile and locate the record containing the attachment.

  2. Hover over the attachment and click the X icon.

  3. Select Disassociate when prompted.

  4. The attachment will now appear in your Unassociated Files panel.

  5. Return to the record and delete the original attachment if desired.

Summary

  • Use Unassociate when you want to move a file to the Unassociated Files panel for reuse.

  • Use Delete when you want to permanently remove the file from the user’s account.

Both actions can be performed directly from the user’s record panel for simple and efficient file management.
