Address Defensive Driving and Safety Training Completions with Financial Rewards

  1. Use your telematics scoring system to monitor behaviors. Give them points for doing right - lose points for bad behavior. 

  2. Create systems where they are always in the game each day. You don’t want demotivated drivers who know they can’t earn more money.

  3. Make the requirement to earn the bonus that they driver completes defensive driver training

  4. Communicate to your entire fleet those who are reaping the financial rewards by doing the right thing, their will be a correlation between the drivers who are completing their training and scoring high on the telematics. This further motivates those drivers and lets the ones trying to get there see it’s attainable.
