Copying Permissions in DriverHub
How to mirror DriverHub access from one user to another
When creating new users in DriverHub, you don’t always need to build their permissions from scratch. Often, there’s already an existing user whose permissions you can mirror — saving time and ensuring consistency in visibility, rights, and group access.
Follow these steps to copy permissions from one user to another.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Open the profile of the user whose permissions you want to copy.
-
Scroll to the bottom of their profile and make note of their Groups and any active Badges (for example, Is Manager).

-
Open the profile of the new user who will receive these permissions.
-
Click the Edit (pencil) icon at the top of their profile.

-
Scroll to the Groups section and add the same groups as the original user.
-
Check any badges that apply, such as Is Manager.

-
Click Save Changes to apply the group and badge settings.
-
On the new user’s profile, click the Profile Menu (three dots) in the upper-left corner.
-
Select Configure, then click User Visibility.

-
In the visibility configuration window, click the Copy From User button.

-
Search for and select the user whose visibility you want to copy.
-
Click Copy Visibility, then click Save to apply the copied settings.

Important Note
If you do not see the Copy Visibility button in your DriverHub environment, the Copy User Visibility From Another User right must be enabled. Contact your system administrator or AvatarFleet Support to have this permission activated.
