Learn how to reject an application, record a reason, and notify the candidate if needed.
In DriverHub, you can reject a candidate’s application directly from their profile. You can also record a reason for the rejection and optionally send an email notification to the candidate.

Open the Candidate’s Profile
- 
Locate and open the candidate’s profile in DriverHub.

Go to the Applications Tab
- 
Select the Applications tab to view the candidate’s submitted applications.

Open the Actions Menu
- 
In the upper-right corner, click the Actions button.
 - 
From the dropdown menu, select Reject.

Choose a Rejection Reason
- 
A window will appear prompting you to select the reason for rejection.

Choose from the list of available reasons to document why the candidate was not selected.

Update Candidate Status or Lifecycle Stage (Optional)

You can also update the candidate’s status or lifecycle stage to reflect the rejection.

This step helps maintain accurate tracking in your recruiting pipeline.

Confirm the Rejection
- 
Once your selections are complete, click Reject Application.
 - 
The application will now be marked as rejected.

Send an Email Notification (Optional)
- 
After rejecting the application, you can choose to compose and send an email to the candidate.

Include a brief message notifying them of the decision and any additional information you wish to share.

As of release v3.50, the most recent rejection reason is now shown on the user's profile!
Note: You can turn a rejected candidate into an active candidate by creating an application for them.
A rejected candidate is able to reapply to a position.
